Grappler
Fast and slippery. Keeps momentum, reaches anywhere with a grapple hook.
Multiplayer party shooter · Free on Windows
Pick your operator. Don't misfire.
Three operators, a gunsmith to build your own loadouts, and a handful of modes that are each their own little game. Play online with friends or practise against bots.
Windows 10 / 11, 64-bit. Early development: expect rough edges and frequent updates.
Operators
Each operator moves and fights differently. Your guns are your own: build them in the gunsmith.
Fast and slippery. Keeps momentum, reaches anywhere with a grapple hook.
Controls space. Pulls, shuts down and blinds the enemy, and marks anyone caught in the effect.
A walking fortress. Builds cover, soaks damage and holds ground.
Modes
Everybody is hunting somebody, and hunted by somebody else. Shoot before the draw and you lose on the spot. A kill gives your bullet back. Three rounds, a new target each round.
Swing at the bomb to send it over the net. Every hit scores, but every hit makes the fuse burn faster. When it blows, everyone on its side goes with it.
Co-op against guards and cameras. Guards hear running and shots, so stay low. Find the keycard, drill the vault, take the cash, then sixty seconds to reach the van.
Hold the core while everybody else tries to take it. It runs hot, so keep it moving. Three rounds, two to five players.
Free-for-all with money on the line. Earn from kills, cash in big on the target, or survive being the target. Spend it on the builds you made in the gunsmith.
Getting it
You download the Misfire Launcher, a small Windows app. It fetches the game for you and keeps it up to date.
Run Misfire-Launcher.exe from wherever you saved it. Nothing to install for the launcher itself.
The game downloads to your user folder and is checked before it's installed.
Next time there's an update, the button says Update. One click and you're current.
The launcher isn't code-signed yet, so Windows SmartScreen may warn about an unrecognised app the first time. Click More info, then Run anyway. The launcher only talks to GitHub, where the game builds are hosted.
